In this course, we will discuss how to stay Left of a critical incident and see the danger before it occurs. Seeing it 10 minutes, 5 minutes, 1 minute, or 5 seconds before it happens could mean life or death. If we are proactive we can detect these events before they happen and maneuver away, around, or through them and enhance our survivability. We still need to have the skills and know-how in order to deal with a critical incident as it happens but step number one is how to be situationally aware.
